Don't Move Home Plate
After reading the article linked here about John Scolinos, a famous baseball coach. I realized that I stayed the course. The article is written from a speech presentation made in 1996, Coach Scolinos was 78 years old and five years retired from a college coaching career that began in 1948.
He points out the fact that you need dedication at a high standard. Your willingness to figure out what is wrong and then fix it. The coaches message was clear: “Coaches, keep your players—no matter how good they are—your own children, your churches, your government, and most of all, keep yourself at seventeen inches." (The size of Home Plate)
I draw many conclusions, inferred meanings to our horses and our lives. This season was rough but we stayed the course.
