the DSHR race in Clovis on Friday Night.
The next morning Nugget's temp was 103.5 and went up to 105.4, gave bute at 11 and 4pm and that afternoon I took him to Dr. Brenda Linman DVM for fluids and an overnight stay.
I picked him up the next day where his temp decreased to 99.8 in the am and then 103 by late afternoon. Gave bute, his legs, sheath and face were swollen.
Kept up with water baths and in the evening put him out in pasture where he ate the grass. Bute should only be give twice in 24 hrs. Will give him 2 weeks off from training.
