Placed 9th in 1D Futurity
the 777 NFR Barrel Race Sunday morning November 15 in Ceres at Diamond Bar Arena.
As I work around the barrel, I teach my horse where to place his feet so that he is both quick and correct.
They’re quick, but they don’t hurry. Quickness comes from the horse being confident about where to put his feet and becoming efficient in his movements around the barrel.
So glad and excited that Wood Get the Cash first Futurity Barrel race was so sucessful. It was a hard course, set up just like the Thomas and Mack in Las Vegas with an ally and blind first barrel. He clocked a 15.010 with a 15.1 Showcase practice run the day before.
He is a natural and hunts the barrels. Still lots of work to get him seasoned but he handled everything and the cold morning and fog so well.
