Working on Nuggets Foot and Tendon with PMF to try and speed up healing.
I then had Alex PMF Nugget and Buzz which we didn't get done until almost 5pm.
Dr. Diane Isabell wrote the protocol for Nugget and did a re-check on his foot the next morning after following the track where the nail went into the soft tissue. Moderate digital pulse. Using a boot to help protect his foot and help him walk on it.
I had made the Dakin's solution which was boiling 4 cups of water on the stove for 15 minutes with 1/2 tsp of baking soda and then adding the boiling water to a sterile jar and adding 3 oz. of bleach. I took that with me and we used it and a pinch of cotton.
Dr. sucked the Dakin solution into a syringe and then after we lifted his back leg up she squirted the Dakin solution into the hole which hardly no blood was coming out and was drying up.
Added the pinch of cotton and more solution and she vet wrapped the hoof to keep it clean and we booted the hoof. She then added more vet wrap and some electrical tape to the cable to keep the boot on. She ended up giving me the boot, she said it was at the end of the boots life. I arrived to DSHR around noon.
